David Al Edwards

David Al Edwards, age 84, of Cincinnati, Ohio, passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 24, 2025. Born on August 10, 1941, in Elizabeth, Louisiana, he was the cherished son of the late Darrell William and Versie Edwards.

David is survived by his beloved wife of 42 years, Griselda B. Edwards (nee Escobedo), along with their loving daughter, Victoria B. Covarrubias (Jason), and his treasured grandchildren, Claudia Angelica and James Edward Covarrubias.

A man of many interests and passions, David found joy in photography, bird watching, and embracing the beauty of nature. He was an active member of the Rotary Club of Cincinnati and had a deep appreciation for Mercedes cars. David also has a rich history as a race car driver and lifeguard, demonstrating his adventurous spirit throughout his life. An avid reader, he enjoyed sailing and was dedicated to lifelong learning. Above all, he was a devoted family man who cherished his role as a grandfather.

David grew up in Beaumont, Texas, and had a fulfilling career that spanned San Antonio, Austin, and Washington, D.C. He delighted in the simple pleasures of life, including his love for chocolate and Reese's peanut butter cups.

David will be remembered for his warmth, kindness, and the lasting impact he made on all who knew him.
