Danny T Walz peacefully passed away at his home, surrounded by his family, on Friday, August 22, 2025 at the age of 67, after a battle with cancer.
Dan was born September 28,1957 in Ft Thomas, Kentucky to the late Donald and Charlane (nee McCasland) and was raised in Bellevue, Kentucky, or as he called it, "Home of the Mighty Fighting Tigers".
Dan was a self-employed painter who was very conscientious and detail oriented. Much of his work came through word-of-mouth referrals which is a testament to his reputation. He also had a passion for music, whether he was writing and singing his own songs, performing for friends, or listening to his favorite bands. Other hobbies included camping and hiking in the Red River Gorge and fishing.
Dan is survived by his wife of 36 years, Lisa Kessler Walz, his children Ian, Megan and David Walz. He is the grandfather of Thomas Saathoff.
Dan is also survived by his brothers, Dennis, Dean and Darran (Lisa) Walz, his sister Donna Biddle, his mother -in-law Jean Kessler, his brothers-in-law Stan Schimerman, Larry (Nancy) Kessler, Jim (Gerry) Kessler, his sisters-in-law Ann (Dennis) Lampe, Pattie Kessler and Shari Kessler. Dan will be missed by his many nieces, nephews and friends.
Dan was preceded in death by his sisters, Darlene Schimerman and Dianne Bricking and brothers-in-law, Robert Kessler and Richard Kessler.
Visitation will be Friday, August 29, 2025 from 10:00 AM until the funeral service at 11:30 AM at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals and Receptions, West Side Chapel, 3300 Parkcrest Lane, Cincinnati, Ohio (45211)
After the service, please continue fellowship and celebrating Dan's life at The Farm, 239 Anderson Ferry Road, Cincinnati, Ohio (45238).
