Danny Robert Garner

Danny Robert Garner, of Morning View, Kentucky, passed away on September 7, 2026, at the age of 78. He was born on April 3, 1948, in Bastrop, Texas.

Danny was a Vietnam veteran who served in the Army. He faced lung cancer brought on by exposure to Agent Orange in Vietnam. He lived a full life and will be remembered for his strength, his steady presence, and the way he cared deeply for the things he loved.

He enjoyed woodworking, feeding the birds, videogames, and golf. Danny was also a big-time animal lover and often preferred the company of animals. These simple joys brought him happiness and reflected his warm and independent spirit.

One of the great blessings of his life was his marriage to Lois Garner, née Thomas. They shared 56 years of marriage together, building a life marked by commitment and lasting love.

Danny is survived by his wife, Lois Garner; his son, Eric Garner; and his grandchildren, Grace Garner, Jack Garner, Gabrielle Kammerer, and Jon Michael Kammerer. He is also remembered by a host of other family members and friends who will carry his memory forward with love.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Gertrud Ballinger, née Orban; his daughter, Danielle Kammerer; and his brothers, David Garner, Joey Garner, and Rudy Garner.

Danny will be missed by all who knew and loved him. May his memory bring comfort to his family and friends in the days ahead.
