Daniel Thomas Kingey, 82 of Harrison, OH passed away peacefully on January 20, 2026 at Hospice of Cincinnati in Cincinnati, OH. Born on July 25, 1943, in Cincinnati, OH, Danny was the son of the late Yuelta Kingery (Thomas) of Norwood. OH.
He is survived by his stepchildren, Kathy (Jesse) Cole, Herbert Wayne Hoskins, Rick (Lori) Hoskins, and David (Patricia) Hoskins, brother-in-law Jim Jett, niece Jenny (Brian) Beighle, great-niece Erin Beighle, 10 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, 4 great-great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
He is preceded in death by his wife of 37 years, Mildred Aolee Kingery (Watkins), his mother Yuelta Mae Kingery, and his sister Juanita Jett, and great-great-grandson Andrew Williams.
Danny retired from Christ Hospital in 2007 with over 20 years of employment as a Security Guard. He was a Private in the US Army and served in Vietnam.
Danny was a loving and kind man with a heart as big as the world. He loved to laugh and tell stories. He and his sister, Juanita, were raised by their mother, and their great-aunt, Mary, and shared a special bond. They would often have long talks on the phone at all hours of the day or night and their silliness and laughter was infectious. He taught himself to play the piano and the guitar and loved to sing with his granddaughter Megan. Some of his happiest memories were of spending time with his grandchildren and nieces and nephews, being a kid at heart himself.
Danny was raised in the Nazarene church in Norwood, and later with his wife Mildred he found his salvation in the Pentecostal church. He enjoyed studying the bible and other religions and loved to talk with people about his faith. Danny's legacy does not involve building corporate empires or climbing Mt. Everest. Danny's legacy is the number of people he touched in his life and helped them to have a relationship with God. When it came to his faith, Danny led by example and because of this the people that met him are better for it.
