Clyde Simes, age 80, of Cincinnati, Ohio, peacefully passed away on Sunday, October 19, 2025. He was born on July 2, 1945, in Cincinnati, and was lovingly cared for by his parents, Robert and Mattie Simes.
Clyde is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Jacquelyn Simes; his biological mother, Nellie Burbridge; his daughters, Tonia Simes and Kenya Simes; his sons, Scottie Simes and Patrick Simes; his sisters, Patricia and Betty; and other cherished family members. He is survived by his daughters, Carlotta (Bernard) Miller, Tracy (Dante) Gossett, and Karrie (the late Leroy) Wilson; his sister, Rosalee; as well as a legacy of 21 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Clyde attended Princeton High School and dedicated 26 years of his career to the Shaffer Company, where he made many lasting friendships. Throughout his life, Clyde embraced everything with joy and enthusiasm. He had a passion for basketball and treasured the moments spent with family. He was known for his love of card games, enjoyable times at Woodlawn Park, and sharing laughter with friends while enjoying a glass of wine or beer.
A devoted father, Clyde took great pride in raising his daughters. He was known for his playful spirit and had a love for music, playing bingo, and preparing delicious meals that brought family together.
A funeral ceremony will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, October 31, 2025, with visitation from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - West Side Chapel, located at 3300 Parkcrest Lane, Cincinnati, Ohio 45211.
