Charles Padgett

Charles E. Padgett, born May 11, 1934, in Cincinnati, Ohio, passed away surrounded by the love of his family.

Charlie was a proud veteran of the United States Army, serving from 1957 to 1959. He was honorably discharged as a Specialist after faithfully serving his country.

For much of his working life, Charlie was a Maintenance Manager for National Distillers, which later became part of the Jim Beam company. He was a hardworking man who took pride in his work and in providing for his family.

Charlie was married to the love of his life, Mildred A. “Millie” Padgett, for nearly 70 years. Together, Charlie and Millie built a life and a home filled with many years of memories. They lived in the same home for nearly 70 years, where Charlie took great pride in working around the house and caring for the place they called home.

Charlie was raised by his maternal grandparents, Elizabeth and Noah Glass, who played an important role in his life and upbringing.

Charlie loved to golf and enjoyed spending time working around his home. He was a hardworking, devoted, and caring man who valued his family and the simple things in life.

Although Charlie and Millie did not have children of their own, they opened their hearts and their home to their nieces and nephews and played an important role in helping raise them. Their love, guidance, and support became an important part of the lives of those they cared for.

Charlie leaves behind a lifetime of memories and the love of his devoted wife, Millie, along with the many nieces, nephews, family members, and friends whose lives he touched.

His nearly 70 years of marriage, his service to his country, his dedication to his work, and the love he gave to his family will be remembered and cherished by all who knew him.

Rest in peace, Charlie. You will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
