Catherine "Katie" H. Reed

Catherine "Katie" H. Reed, age 94, of Cheviot, Ohio, peacefully passed away on Tuesday, July 1, 2025. She was born in Cincinnati, Ohio, on November 1, 1930, to John G. and Catherine Hardewig (née Buerger).

Catherine was preceded in death by her loving parents, her beloved husband Dewey M. Reed, her son Steven Reed, and her siblings: John Hardewig, Delores Arrington, Angela Meirose, Betty Lou Turner, and Shirley Stall. She is survived by her son Phil (Peggy) Reed, her daughter Linda Troxell, as well as her cherished grandchildren Matt, Megan, Bryan, Steve, Paul, Jason, and Vickie. Catherine also leaves behind ten great-grandchildren seven Great Great grandchildren and a host of other family members and friends who will miss her dearly.

A devoted supporter of the Cincinnati Reds, Catherine was known for her passion for gardening and her talent for knitting Afghans, which she lovingly crafted for her family.

In loving memory of Catherine, contributions may be made to St. Rita School for the Deaf, located at 1720 Glendale Milford Road, Evendale, Ohio 45215.

Visitation will be held at St. Martin of Tours, 3720 St Martins Place, Cincinnati, Ohio 45211, from 9:30 AM until the time of Mass at 10:30 AM on Thursday, July 10, 2025.
