Carlene Paige Kuzelka, lovingly known as Paige, passed away on October 3, 2026, in Independence, Kentucky. She was born on April 25, 1962, in Winston Salem, North Carolina.
Paige will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and sister whose care for others shaped both her family life and her professional life. For many years, she served as a director of nursing, a role that reflected her dedication, compassion, and steady commitment to those entrusted to her care. She brought that same warmth and devotion into the lives of the people who knew and loved her best.
She found happiness in simple and meaningful pleasures. Paige loved animals, especially dogs, and her affection for them was a natural expression of her gentle spirit. She enjoyed going to the beach, where she could take in its peace and beauty, and she also enjoyed beading, a pastime that reflected her creativity and patience. She enjoyed listening to music of all kinds, but especially country music. She was also a faithful member of the Church of Christ until her passing.
Above all, Paige cherished her family. She is survived by her husband, William Kuzelka. She also leaves behind her son, Tyler Fantin, and his spouse, Vanessa Fantin; her daughters, Tara Flores and her spouse, Bobby Flores, and Tori Kuzelka. Her memory will live on in the hearts of her grandchildren, Braylon, Braxton, Brihanna, Brayden, Olivia, Bentley, Rylan, and Sebastian, each of whom brought joy to her life. She is also survived by her sister, Velda Nelson, and Velda’s spouse, Lee Nelson, as well as her uncle, Lance.
She was preceded in death by her father, Richard Griffin, and her mother, Montine Griffin, née Young.
Paige’s life was marked by love, service, and deep devotion to her family. She will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
