Carla Hoskinds, born on December 9, 1955, in Covington, Kentucky, departed this life peacefully at home on April 26, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of love and cherished memories. She was a woman of kind spirit, caring heart, and humble demeanor, whose presence in the lives of her family and friends was nothing short of a blessing.
Known for her culinary skills, Carla embraced the joys of cooking, often gathering her loved ones around the table to share not just meals, but also stories and laughter. Her kitchen was a haven where flavors mingled with memories, each dish echoing her love for her family, whom she adored immensely.
She enjoyed the thrill of going to the casino to play the slot machines, where her laughter resonated. In her quieter moments, she found joy in bird watching in her backyard, savoring the gentle beauty of nature. Reflecting on her younger years, one could fondly remember Carla camping and fishing, adventures that filled her heart with joy and connection to the great outdoors.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Kenneth Foley and Betty Foley (nee Fuchs), who instilled in her the values that shaped her compassionate personality.
Carla is survived by her loving husband, David Hoskinds; their devoted sons, Brian and Brad Hoskinds; and her cherished grandchildren, Madison, Ava, and Dylan Hoskinds. She is also lovingly remembered by her sisters: Judy (Jim) Longhauser, Sherry Daut, Stephanie Shepard, Saundra Hanning, and Melanie (Jack) Webb, along with a host of other family members and friends who will forever hold her memory close to their hearts.
As we celebrate the life of Carla Hoskinds, we honor the kindness she spread, the warmth she exuded, and the unconditional love she gave. Her spirit will continue to inspire and guide all those who had the privilege of knowing her.
