Bonnie Jean Walter (née Bridewell) passed away peacefully on June 25, 2026, in Fort Thomas, Kentucky, at the age of 82. Born on May 17, 1944, in Covington, Kentucky, Bonnie spent her life cultivating deep and lasting connections with her family, friends, and community.

Throughout her years, Bonnie was known for her warmth, her steadfast devotion to those she loved, and her capacity to uplift the people around her. She was a cherished daughter of the late Raymond H. Bridewell and Mary Jane Denny (née Dunaway). Her early days in Covington set the foundation for a life characterized by care and service to others.

Bonnie shared a loving marriage with her late husband, Gayle Walter, building a family that remained her greatest pride. She was the devoted mother of Traci Lynn McIntosh, Michael G. Walter (Carrie), and Mark Walter (Cora). She was also the cherished grandmother to seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Bonnie’s nurturing spirit shaped the lives of her children, grandchildren, siblings, numerous nieces and nephews and extended family, who now carry her memory forward with affection and gratitude.

She was the beloved sister of Sharon Montgomery and sister-in-law to Howard Montgomery. Bonnie also remembered with deep affection her brothers who preceded her in death: Raymond, Ronald L., James T., and Billy Bridewell. She carried forward the legacies of her family with quiet strength, treasuring moments of togetherness and remembrance.

Bonnie’s love for her family was accompanied by an enduring sense of empathy and a generosity that touched many lives. She faced life’s joys and challenges with unwavering grace, never failing to offer encouragement or extend a helping hand. Bonnie also enjoyed taking girls trips with friends, visiting the ocean, where she always had to have an ocean view from her room, and staying connected with classmates from Campbell County High School.

Bonnie was predeceased by her dear son, Jeffrey Voelker, whose memory she held close to her heart. Her life is marked by the enduring bonds she formed, the guidance she provided, and the love she so willingly shared.

Friends and loved ones are invited to remember and celebrate Bonnie at visitation and funeral services to be held at St. John's United Church of Christ, located at 415 Park Ave, Newport, KY 41071. Following the services, she will be laid to rest at Evergreen Cemetery, 25 Alexandria Pike, Southgate, KY 41071. Service details are pending at this time, please check for an updated obituary soon.
