Bonnie J. Crout, a beloved wife, daughter, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, passed away peacefully on February 17, 2026, in Erlanger, Kentucky. Born on December 20, 1943, in Covington, Kentucky, Bonnie was cherished for her warm heart and vibrant spirit.
Throughout her life, Bonnie demonstrated an unwavering devotion to her family and community. Her home was a haven for gatherings, where laughter and love filled the air. She adored hosting family and friends, always opening her doors and creating unforgettable memories through her delightful parties. Bonnie's culinary talents shone brightly as she whipped up delicious meals, and her passion for cooking and baking was evident in every dish she prepared.
Bonnie's commitment to serving others extended beyond her home. She dedicated herself to volunteering at a local nursing home, bringing joy to the elderly through communal dinners and games. Her service to the church and her strong faith as a devout Christian were cornerstones of her life, shaping her actions and inspiring those around her.
Her love for her family was her proudest accomplishment. Bonnie is survived by her devoted daughters, Teresa Fagan, Kellie (Everett) Willoughby, Cliffa Foster, Michelle (Tony) Hendrickson, and son Sean (Cheryl) Snowden; as well as her son Christopher Crout. She was a beloved grandmother to Bodey Hendrickson, Cole (Hannah) Hendrickson, Dawson "Andy" Hendrickson, Atalie (Jared) Hendrickson, Aliyah Hendrickson, Alex Snowden, Ericka (Matthew) Archbold, Kyle (Jamie) Crout; and a cherished great-grandmother to Adam Archbald, Jamison Crout, Calum Crout, Theodore Crout, Hannah Crout, Thea Hendrickson, Dallen Hendrickson, Adler Hendrickson, Callah Hendrickson, Luca Fisher, Myles Fisher and Hayden Fisher. Bonnie also shared her life with her sister-in-law Ruth Tibbetts and is remembered fondly by numerous nieces and nephews.
Though Bonnie is preceded in death by her father, James Fredricks; mother, Thelma McKinney (née Jacobs); husband, Norman Edward Crout; Norman's parents, Arthur and Josephine Crout; son, Edward Crout; daughter-in-law, Julia Crout; son-in-law, Matt Fagan; sisters, Barbara Ragan and Glenna Faye Fredricks; brothers-in-law, Walter Crout and Kenneth Crout; niece, Kim Williams; cousin, Caryl Pohlson; her spirit and love for life carry on in the hearts of all who knew her.
Her legacy of kindness, generosity, and love will forever resonate, reminding us all to cherish our families, serve our communities, and approach life with open arms.
Visitation will be held on March 7, 2026, from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Community Family Church, located at 11875 Taylor Mill Rd, Independence, KY 41051. A memorial service will follow at the same location from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM.
