Bill R. Schwabe, known for his dedication and commitment, unexpectedly passed away on August 10 2024, in Erlanger, Kentucky. Born on July 18, 1960, in Covington, Kentucky, Bill led a remarkable life filled with love, kindness, and selflessness.
With a career spanning over 40 years, devoted his professional life to DHL, where he held the distinction of being one of the few original employees still actively working until his semi-retirement two years ago. His unwavering work ethic and passion for his job left a lasting impression on all those around him.
A proud Air Force veteran, Bill served his country with honor before embarking on his successful career with DHL. In his free time, he found solace in gardening and enjoyed spending time with his brother, Bob and his dog, Creek.
Bill was a pillar of support for his loved ones, always ready to lend a helping hand and offer kindness to everyone he met. He was an incredibly proud father. His generosity knew no bounds, and he touched the lives of many with his warm heart and compassionate nature.
He is survived by his beloved sons, Billy Schwabe, II and Rick Garrard, as well as his siblings: Bunny Schwabe, Beverly Schwabe, Buddy Schwabe, and Bob Schwabe. In remembrance, he joins his late father, Bernard Schwabe, and mother, Dollie Schwabe (nee Davis), along with a host of other cherished family members and friends.
A visitation service to honor and celebrate Bill's life will be held on August 16, 2024, at the Northern Kentucky Chapel in Erlanger, 4350 Dixie Hwy., Erlanger, KY 41018 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM, providing an opportunity for all who knew him to pay their respects and share fond memories. Please "come as you are" at Bill's request, no need to dress up.
Bill will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. His legacy of compassion, generosity, and unwavering support will continue to inspire those whose lives he touched. In this time of sorrow, may we find comfort in the memories we shared with Bill and the enduring impact of his remarkable life.
