Betty Louise Stickrod

Betty Louise Stickrod, née Workman, passed away on October 15, 2026, in Dry Ridge, Kentucky. She was born on February 12, 1947, in Kenton County, Kentucky.

Betty will be remembered as a spunky, sassy, funny, and bold woman whose spirit left a lasting impression on those who knew and loved her. She enjoyed life fully and found happiness in the things that brought people together. She loved to golf and enjoyed bowling, and she also liked going to the casino. Betty especially loved going on cruises, always looking forward to the adventure, the fun, and the time shared with others. She also loved to cook and to be part of family gatherings, where her presence helped make occasions warm, lively, and memorable.

Her love of cruising was one of the joys that stayed close to her heart. She had a cruise lined up for October 31st and made her family promise that they would go no matter what. In keeping with that promise and in honor of her memory, her family will take that journey with her in their hearts.

Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald Stickrod; her father, Edward Workman; her mother, Pauline Workman, née Mason; her siblings, Mary Held, Nancy Jones and Donald Workman.

She is survived by her daughter, Kelly Stickrod; her son, Brian Stickrod, and his wife, Julie; her brother, Richard Workman; her sister, Darlene Settlers; her grandchildren, Jamie Hensley, Ella Stickrod, and Grace Stickrod; her boyfriend, Joe Dean; and numerous nieces and nephews. She leaves behind a family who will remember her with love, laughter, and gratitude for the many moments they shared with her.

Visitation will be held on October 21, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, Northern Kentucky, 4350 Dixie Hwy, Erlanger, Kentucky 41018. The funeral service will begin there at 1:00 p.m. Burial will follow at 2:00 p.m. at Hopeful Lutheran Cemetery, 6430 Hopeful Church Road, Florence, Kentucky 41042. A reception will be held afterward at 3:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, Northern Kentucky.

Betty Louise Stickrod will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all whose lives were brightened by her strength, humor, and unmistakable spirit.
