Betty L. Johnson

Betty L. Johnson, aged 77, of Union, Kentucky, passed away peacefully on August 1, 2026. Born on June 6, 1949, in Dry Ridge, Kentucky, she was the cherished daughter of the late Sylvia Mae Sydnor.

Betty is fondly remembered by her loving husband, Billy T. Peed, and her children, Shane Johnson (Ahoo), and Tommy Peed (Shannon). She was a proud grandmother to Kaveh Johnson and Will Z. Peed. Betty leaves behind her sisters, JoAnn Milner (Gene), Linda Mildon (Steve Madden) and and her brother, Larry Sydnor (Glenna), alongside many other dear family members and friends.

Preceded in death by her parents, brothers Ronnie, Dannie, Jimmy & David Sydnor, daughter Sarah McCane, and ex-husband Fred Johnson,

Betty's memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew her.

Betty's passions included dancing, listening to music, traveling, and exercising, with a special love for red roses and Japanese maples trees. Above all, she treasured every moment spent with her family and grandson's, Will & Kaveh.

In her memory, contributions can be made to the Dementia Society of America. 

A Celebration of Life will take place from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Wednesday, August 5, 2026, at the Florence Nature Center, 7200 Nature Park Drive, Florence, KY 41042.
