Betty Jean Jones

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Betty Jean Jones, age 63, of Erlanger, Kentucky, on December 31, 2025. Betty was born on May 3, 1962, in Barbourville, Kentucky, to Ellis and Mary Smith (née Sasser).

Betty was beloved for her kind nature and her ability to connect with everyone she met. She married in 1980 and dedicated her life to her family, raising three sons and nurturing many grandchildren. Known for her culinary skills, she especially delighted others with her homemade biscuits and gravy, along with a host of cherished country recipes. Betty faced life's challenges with resilience and positivity, never complaining and always finding reasons to smile. She had a special fondness for Dunkin' Donuts coffee, which brought her joy.

She is preceded in death by her father, Ellis Smith; her mother, Mary Smith; and several siblings.

Betty is survived by her loving husband, Steven Jones; her sons, Steve B. Jones, Jr., Paul Jones, and Brent Jones; her grandchildren, Autumn Jones, Hailey Jones, Alexandra Rice, Dominque Jones, Hailey Vogel, and Trent Jones; her brother, Jeffrey Smith; her faithful companion, Benz Fluffy-Jones; and a host of other family members and friends who will deeply miss her.
