Arnold Gibson

Arnold Gibson, age 82, of Cincinnati, Ohio, passed away on Monday, May 11, 2026. He was born on August 22, 1943, in Corbin, Kentucky. 

Arnold was the beloved son of William and Martha Gibson (nee Gumm). He was  preceded in death by his loving wife, Jane Gibson; his half-sisters Pearl Ludwig, Willa House, Ruby Gibson, and Georgia Hibbard; his half-brother Lee Curry; as well as his niece Kim Ludwig and nephew Paul Estle.

He is lovingly remembered and survived by his son Mike Gibson and daughter-in-law Colleen Mahoney, daughter Lori Slover; grandchildren Jillian Slover, Mikayla Gibson, Alexander Gibson, and Molly Gibson; nieces Debbie Hodge and Leah Jo Carroll; nephews Ricky Curry and Charles Loomis; along with many other family members and friends who cherished him.

Arnold’s warm and friendly spirit was evident to all who knew him—he never met a stranger. He had a special fondness for J & J’s restaurant and enjoyed watching Westerns, "shoot ‘em ups," The Price Is Right, as well as Cincinnati Reds and Bengals games. Arnold also loved singing, especially Elvis Presley and country songs, and treasured spending time with his family and playing uno with his grandchildren.
