Alfredo Izzo, age 88, of Cheviot, Ohio, passed away on December 31, 2025. Born in Caserta, Italy, on July 26, 1937, Alfredo was the beloved son of Pietro and Maria Izzo (nee Sestina).
He is preceded in death by his cherished wife, Incoronata Izzo, and his parents, Pietro and Maria Izzo. Alfredo is survived by his three sons: Carmine, Pietro, and Frank (Elizabeth) Izzo, as well as his daughter, AnnaMaria (Tim) Palmer. He takes with him fond memories held by his granddaughters, Maria (Mike Willett) Izzo, Madison Palmer, Mia Izzo, Isabella Izzo, Emilia Izzo, and his grandson, Benjamin Palmer. Alfredo also enjoyed the joy of being a great-grandfather to Owen Willett and is remembered by a host of family and friends.
Alfredo was truly happiest in the kitchen, where he loved to cook for those around him. He was a welcoming presence, always opening his home to neighbors who could not resist the aroma of fresh bread. His passion for life was evident in everything he did, whether it was his days as a lumberjack in Italy or the joyful laughter shared with family and friends. He had a special moment of pride when he cooked breakfast for Evel Knievel during his famous jump over 14 Greyhound buses at Kings Island in 1975.
Alfredo’s spirit will live on through the countless lives he touched with his warmth, humor, and storytelling of his days in Italy.
A funeral ceremony will be held at 12:30 PM on Saturday, January 17, 2026, with visitation from 10:30 AM to 12:30 PM at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - West Side Chapel, located at 3300 Parkcrest Lane, Cincinnati, Ohio 45211.
