James William McIntosh Life story video
James William McIntosh, age 80, of Fort Wright, Kentucky went to Heaven on Friday November 10, 2023. He was born in Jackson, Kentucky on December 18, 1942, to the late Virgil and Atha McIntosh (nee Hall).

James was proceeded in death by his mother Atha and baby brother, Father Virgil, stepmother Dempsey McIntosh and sister Frances McIntosh.

James is survived by his beloved wife of 61 years, Norma McIntosh (nee Wilson), faithful four-legged companion, Kassie, daughters, Kathy Tucker, Kimberly Walker, and Karla (Rick) Watkins. Grandchildren, James (Bethany) Tucker, Ashley Walker, Brittany (Josh) Leach, Taylor Walker, Derek Watkins and great-grandchildren, Kinlee Walker, Kailynn Tucker, Kirstynn Tucker, Knoxx Poynter, Korbynn Poynter, and Novalee Walker. Siblings, Freda Sparks, Verlin (Charlotte) McIntosh, Walter McIntosh, Lowell (Jayne) McIntosh, Marita (Goodloe) Collins and many nieces and nephews that he loved dearly.

He met the love of his life at school and after a two-year courtship they married on August 18, 1962. For 63 years they’ve been each other’s whole world and shared a lifetime of wonderful memories. James often commented that he had the four most beautiful girls who he was proud of and loved dearly, as Norma was one of his girls. In 1966 he became a merchant marine and was a skilled carpenter/ construction worker. He was meticulous when it came to work he did! Always said do it right the first time!

James was a member of Orchard Terrace Church of God for many years. He was a proud patriot with a love for his country and a passion for watches, western boots, and hats. James was also an avid storyteller and loved to make others laugh. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.

A public visitation will be held Friday, November 17, 2023 from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals, Receptions, 4350 Dixie Highway, Erlanger, KY 41018. A funeral service will begin at 1:00 pm. Burial will follow at Highland Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the American Heart Association.
