William Albert Neiheisel, 89, passed away at Hospice of Cincinnati on January 18, 2023.

He was born on October 25, 1933 to the late Leo H. and Irma Neiheisel (née Vetter) and was a lifelong parishioner of Our Lady of Lourdes Church.

A 1951 graduate of Elder High School, Bill earned a Bachelor’s degree in accounting from Xavier University in 1955, and served as First Lieutenant, Artillery, with the U.S. Army at Fort Sill, Oklahoma. Bill met his wife of 63 years, Nancy Jean Lindquist, while in Oklahoma, and they were married on July 18, 1959 at Holy Family Cathedral in Tulsa, Oklahoma. In 1995, he retired from a 36-year career as a computer programmer and systems analyst with Western-Southern Life Insurance Company.

Bill is survived by his loving wife, Nancy Jean Neiheisel (née Lindquist) and 10 children: Theresa (Bradley) Evans, Martha (Keith) Kelly, Katherine Neiheisel (Martin York), Deborah (John) DeZarn, Stephen (Carolyn) Neiheisel, Thomas Neiheisel (Michelle Fuller), Victoria (Marc) Monahan, Albert Neiheisel, Patricia Neiheisel, and Leo (Jamie) Neiheisel; 16 grandchildren: Ryan Kelly (Jenna Ruberg), Stephanie (Brendan) O’Brien, Kara Evans (Matthew Davis), Leah (Andrew) Stacklin, Daniel Evans (Karen Diaz), Andrew Neiheisel, Megan Kelly, Samantha (Jared) Kremer, Elizabeth Neiheisel, Sara Monahan, Eleanor Neiheisel, Abigail Neiheisel, Grace DeZarn, Aaron Neiheisel, Alison Neiheisel, and Venya Neiheisel; seven great-grandchildren: Owen O’Brien, Sloane Kelly, Peyton Stacklin, Calvin Kelly, Avery Stacklin, Rhys O’Brien, and Maverick Kremer.

He was the dear brother of Charlie Neiheisel, Mary Beth Benecke, Martha Borkosky, Kathleen Eshman and the late Irma “Botzie” Zachman, Howard Neiheisel, Delores “Teensie” Fessel, Barbara Szurlinski, Marjorie Carroll, Judith Meyer, Penelope Chuma, and Gerard Neiheisel. He was a beloved son-in-law of the late Ira V. and Luella Lindquist (née Allen) and dear brother-in-law of Luella Przedecki, Craig Lindquist, Keith Lindquist, and the late Lynn Ann Nordman.

The family would like to thank Hillebrand Nursing & Rehabilitation Center and Hospice of Cincinnati for his care.

Visitation will be Thursday, January 26 from 8:30–10:15 a.m. in the Gathering Space of Our Lady of Lourdes Church. Funeral mass will follow at 10:30 a.m.
Burial will follow in St. Joseph Old Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be sent to Our Lady of Lourdes Church and School, Elder High School, or Down Syndrome Association of Greater Cincinnati.
