Mary A. Cavalcante (Schumer) age 86, of Cincinnati, Ohio passed away on Wednesday, January 11, 2023. She was born in Cincinnati, Ohio on March 3, 1936 to Willis Schumer and Mary Chaiser (nee Stevens).

She was preceded in death by her parents, her son, David W. Hart, and brother, Jack Schumer. Mary is survived by her loving children, Karen S. (Anders) Juel, Kimberly A (Russ) Pennekamp, and Dan W. (Kim) Hart; grandchildren, Russ Pennekamp, Jr., Ali (Charles) Rowland, Tristan Hart, Evan Hart, and Shane Hart; and other family members and friends.

Mary was always on the go, she enjoyed going out and staying busy. She absolutely adored animals and was an active volunteer for years at the SPCA. Mary was also a talented and creative artist that was a master of sewing and many other arts and crafts. She was fun-loving, she had a contagious laugh, great sense of humor and beautiful smile that made everyone feel welcome. Mary cherished time spent with her family, especially during family get-togethers and the holidays.
