In Memory Of
Christian E. "Chris" Walden
1952 - 2022

Christian E. "Chris" Walden, age 70, of Burlington, Kentucky passed away on Friday, November 4, 2022. He was born in Fort Worth, Texas on June 2, 1952 to Charles and Arliss Walden.

Chris was a quiet soul who was immensely dedicated to his loved ones, both family and friends. His presence was like a balm for those around him. His solid character proved to withstand any hardship. Chris had a work ethic and determination to get any task that was set before him done that was unlike any other. He was humble and avoided praise. Although, described as quiet and reserved Chris had a sense of humor which was undeniably witty and surprisingly silly once revealed. Chris found joy and peace in the outdoors whether working on a new project in the yard, weekend camping or boating, and especially the occasional family trip to the beach. He will be deeply missed and mourned by all who knew him. His deep love and devotion for those around was not frequently spoken aloud but most certainly felt. His passing leaves a hole in the hearts of his family, friends and church family. As John M. Green wrote these eloquent words that perfectly describe Chris,“He wasn’t good with words, and didn’t put his love on display loudly, but it was there. Quiet, Steady, and True. It showed in the things which he did and didn’t do”. We are blessed to have had him in our lives.

He was preceded in death by his father, Charles Walden, mother, Arliss Walden, Brother, Ronald Walden.

Chris is survived by his beloved Wife of 33 years, Stacey Walden (nee Putnam); children, Charles Walden, Clinton Walden, Jessica Walden, Ryan Walden; grandchildren, Bailey Walden, Acalayne Walden, Nadia Walden, Gray Walden, Levi Walden, Shiloh Arnold, Elijah Arnold; sister, Lisa (Murray) Petitt; cousins, Bobbie (Mike) Voris, Laura Wyman, Debra Rupp; and a host of other family members and friends.

Funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, November 10, 2022 with visitation from 10:00 am - 11:00 am at Burlington Baptist Church, 3031 Washington Street, Burlington, Kentucky 41005. .
