James L. "Lucky" Funk
1946 - 2022

James "Lucky" Funk, age 76, of Mount Healthy, Ohio, passed away on Sunday, September 18, 2022. He was born in Cincinnati, Ohio on August 1, 1946 to the late John A. and Kathryn M. Funk (nee Robinson).

Jim is survived by his beloved wife of 55 years, Marcia P. Funk (nee Toschlog) and his children, Tammy J. (Ed) Stegman, Tracy S. (Mike) Atha, Jim L. (Sue) Funk, Jr., Tonya A. Funk, Scott M. (Melanie) Funk, Paula J. (Chris) Hickey, Jason P. (Brigid) Funk, Keith M. (Natalie) Funk.

He was "Papaw" to 21 grandchildren, and 7 great-grandchildren. Jim is also survived by his sisters, Anna Mae Moon, Nancy Niemann, Gloria Lohmiller, Sheila Bryant, Raymele (Charles) Penley and Rose (Frenchie) Deitsch.

Jim worked in the dental field his entire career as a dental lab technician, and ended his career as owner of Premium Dental Lab. He was a proud member of Lighthouse Community since 1988, and also a member of the Knights of Columbus. He enjoyed being the center of attention and liked to make people laugh. But most of all, he loved his family dearly and loved spending time with them.

In loving memory of James, contributions may be made to the American Lung Association-Cincinnati, 4050 Executive Park Drive, Suite 402, Cincinnati, Ohio 45241.

A visitation will be held from 5:30 pm - 8:00 pm on Monday October 3, 2022 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Northwest Chapel, 7830 Hamilton Avenue, Cincinnati, Ohio 45231.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, October 4, 2022 at Corpus Christi Catholic Church, 2014 Springdale Road, Cincinnati, Ohio. Burial will follow at Crown Hill Cemetery.
