Hamilton, Bernice age 86, of Cincinnati, Ohio passed away on Tuesday, December 14, 2021. She was born in Cincinnati, Ohio on July 31, 1935 to William and Murnie Smith (nee Ross).
She was preceded in death by her Mother and Father; Brother, William Smith; and Son, Jeffrey Smith. Bernice is survived by her Sister, Elizabeth Smith; Sons, Gregory Smith and Anthony Smith; Granddaughters, Tori Martin, Laniece Pryor and Lisa Smith; Grandson, Ameer Smith; Nephews, Dedric Smith and Jay Smith; Niece, Chenee Smith; and a host of other family members and friends.
Bernice was an Apostolic church member for over 50 years. "She always referred to everyone as, 'my babies!' She was pleasant and sometimes funny. She loved to praise God. Even when she was in the nursing home, her conversation was about the Lord. She was happy, didn't complain and she would join in and help us sing, and get happy and praise the Lord. There was no shame in her."
"She was a very quiet person. She, her mother and sisters were devoted members of Lighthouse Temple. She was a housekeeper and nanny. She loved to sing old hymns. She came to New Jerusalem when she moved to Madisonville, and she enjoyed serving the Lord with us."
Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 15, 2022 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at New Jerusalem Apostolic Temple, 4019-25 Gilmore Avenue, Cincinnati, Ohio 45209, with the funeral service to follow at 11:00 AM.
