He was preceded in death by his father, his mother, and his brothers, Theodore Roosevelt, Thomas Leslie, Gregory Allen and Edward Dunigan
James was a loving husband, great father and awesome grandad - "Pops"
James is survived by his beloved wife, Verdell Dunigan , whom he has been together with for 35 years.
He is also survived by his children: Donnell Harris, James (Shonta) Hicks, Johnnetta (Will ) Ryan, Nathaniel (Danielle) Harris, Jasmine Dunigan, and John (Amanda) Harris. His grandchildren are Keishawn Harris, Jamyla Dunigan, Kiara (Mikal) Marshall, Elijah and Ethan Harris, Jakeena Hicks, Nathaniel Harris Jr., Brody Tiernan, Khaleesi and Gianna Harris.
James is the brother of Michael Dunigan, the nephew of Lorene "Aunt Ping" Jones and the uncle of Edith (Marshall) Dunigan.
James worked for Sawbrook Steel, KD Lamp, Tire Discounters and Biggs. He attended Bloom Middle School and later served two years in the US Army. James was the "neighborhood" mechanic, helping with everyone's car repairs. He was also a DJ working in several clubs.
Visitation will be Thursday, January 20, 2022 from 11 AM until the funeral service at 12 Noon
at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals and Receptions, 3300 Parkcrest Lane, Cincinnati (45211)
