William J. "Bill" Jansen, age 92, of Florence, Kentucky passed away on Monday, September 13, 2021. He was born in Covington, Kentucky on October 19, 1928 to Gerhard Jansen and Dorothy Jansen (nee Stewart). Bill was a self proclaimed sports nut. He loved the Cincinnati Reds, Notre Dame Football, Pro Golf, and the Kentucky Wildcats. He enjoyed singing and would keep everyone entertained at Colonial Gardens by bursting into song at a moment's notice. Some of his favorite songs include: "Take Me Out to the Ball Game", the Notre Dame Fight Song and Bing Crosby's "White Christmas". He was a devoted husband, loving father, and grandpa. He will be missed by all those who loved him.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Elizabeth Jansen, father, Gerhard Jansen, grandmother, Josephine Jansen, son, John Jansen, sisters, Dorothy Ann Menninger, Jerri Jacobs, and mother, Dorothy Jansen.

Bill is survived by his son, Stephen (Melissa) Jansen; daughter, Mary Beth (Mark) Wilson; grandchildren, Jeremy, Natalie, Ryan, Travis, Rachael; 4 great-grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Denise Jansen; and a host of other family members and friends.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:30 am Saturday, September 18, 2021 with a visitation from 10:30 am - 11:30 am at Mary Queen of Heaven, 1150 Donaldson Hwy, Erlanger, KY 41018. Burial will take place at a later date.
