Kathleen Mary (Kane) Smith, age 62, of New Richmond, Ohio passed away on Saturday, July 10, 2021. She was born in Covington, Kentucky on February 6, 1959 to Francis and Margaret Kane (nee Kleingeist) and spent her childhood on the westside of Cincinnati in Price Hill. Kathleen was a spark of life that brought joy to all that she encountered and put the care of others before her own. A genuine and kind spirit that loved and nurtured the lives of the people and the animals, which she loved so dearly. Her presence, her laugh, her smile and the sparkle in her eyes, along with her excellent cooking will be greatly missed.


She was preceded in death by her father, Francis Kane, and brother, Patrick Aloysius Kane. Kathleen is survived by her beloved husband of 25 years, Greg Smith; children, Jesse (Tina) Reynolds, Joseph Theobald, Caitlin (Zach) Mayer, Benjaman Norman, Shawn (Cristina) Smith, Christopher (Alison) Smith, and Cassidy Smith; grandchildren, Mariah Reynolds, Meghan Smith, Morgan Smith, Reilly Smith, Delaney Smith, Natalie Smith, Preston Reynolds, Dylan Smith, and Miles Mayer; mother, Margaret Kaiser; siblings, Frank (Kathleen) Kane, Mike (Vicki) Kane, Joe (Donna) Kane, Therese (Dave Opel) Kennedy, John (Chris) Kane; sister-in-law, Jeannine; many nieces and nephews; furry companions, Ella, Hugo Stiglitz, Ivy and Roosevelt; and a host of other family members and friends.

A mass will be held Tuesday July 20, 2021 at 10am at St. William Church 4108 W 8th St, Cincinnati, OH 45205.
