Peggy Muchmore, a long-time resident of the Mt. Healthy area, passed away on Tuesday, the 29th of December at Veranda Gardens in Cincinnati at the age of 62. She was born July 28, 1958.

She was the loving daughter and preceded in death by Bob and Colleen (O’Neill) Muchmore.

She is survived by and the adored sister to: Bob (Tina), John, Debbie (Dave) Deuber, and Jennie (Eric) Clark; cherished aunt to her many nieces and nephews: JJ (Jessica), Katie, and Jennifer (Mikel), Andy (Sara), David (Magaly), Steve (Elizabeth), Matt (Christine), and Sara, Sean (Liz), Eric, and Adam, Jack, Will, Philip, and Nick; devoted great-aunt to: Maddie, Ryan, Kellan, and Mikalyn, Nora and Natalie.

Peggy had a heart of gold, an infectious laugh, and a beautiful smile. She loved to spend time with family and friends at weddings, parties, and neighborhood get-togethers. She also kept in close contact with many of her previous co-workers who were very supportive of her. She will be dearly missed by all of those who knew her.

Peggy received a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Miami University. She spent her entire life devoted to others in her nursing career. She made 11 trips to Brazil and 13 trips to Honduras to assist the medical needs of those in poor, rural areas. She received many awards including the Franciscan Health System Superstar of 1989. According to her colleagues, Peggy was nominated “because she is a one-of-a-kind nurse who goes well beyond the call of nursing in order to make her patients feel as if they’re the most important person on the unit.”
