Carl Lovitt, age 77, of Verona, Kentucky passed away on Friday, November 13, 2020. He was born in Kentucky on October 29, 1943 to Amos and Mary Alice Hamacher (nee Lay). Carl loved to donate to organizations in need, including St. Jude's, Wounded Worrier, and the VA. He enjoyed fishing, doing work outside, his Kroger shopping trips, and taking care of animals like his wife's chickens, cats, and dogs. Carl loved spending time with family most. He loved taking care of his grandkids. Carl also participated in turkey shoots, enjoyed going to the casino with his wife, playing euchre, and shooting pool. He never missed a UK game and also was an avid Bengal's fan. He also valued his faith and enjoyed to go to church at New Hope Church of God.

He was preceded in death by his parents and grandchildren, Dustin D. Waters, and Isaiah C. Mejia.

Carl is survived by his beloved wife, Peggy Sue Lovitt (nee Rothfuss); children, Calvin Carl (Monica) Lovitt, Barbara Ann (Tony) Taylor, Monica Lynn (Jose) Corona, Carla Nicole Lovitt, Mary M. G. Lovitt, Heather Lovitt, Alan (Amy) Bunch, Ramon T. M. Ramirez, Angel R. Corona, Jose (Brittany Henderen) Lovitt, Carlos A. Hernandez, Aliyah S. Corona, Adrianna Verna Jean (Logan Hearn) Cruz, Amy M. Corona, Anna Nicole Cruz, Adan P. Corona, Christopher J. W. Napier, Carlos A. Lovitt, Briana A. A. Lovitt, Javier-Dustin D. Lovitt; siblings, Willis Lovitt, Grace Patrick, Bonnie (Jerry) Odell, Kathy (Bill) Schick, Morse (Wanda) Lovitt, Lloyd Lovitt; and a host of other family members and friends.
