Harmon is survived by his loving wife of almost 59 years Mary; his children, Robert H. (Stephanie) Johnson, Michael (Joan) Johnson, Christopher Johnson, and Alexandra (Mark) Singleton; grandchildren, Charlotte (Justin) James, Robert H. Johnson Jr., Adriana Johnson, Holly Johnson, Christopher Johnson Jr., Thomas Johnson, Allyson Johnson, Sean Singleton and Payton Johnson; great-grandchildren, Jessie, Raeghan, and Ryleigh James, McKenna Mills, and Audrey Mills. He is also survived by one sister, Mary Emma Ousley of Prestonsburg. He was preceded in death by one child, Joe (Josie) Johnson, his parents, 8 brothers and 2 sisters.
Harmon loved bluegrass music and reading. He attended High School in Columbus during his junior year to learn horticulture and fell in love with planting and growing his gardens and orchards at his home.
A celebration of Harmon’s rich life will take place on Saturday, August 1, 2020 at Nelson-Frazier Funeral Home in Martin, Kentucky. Visitation will be held from 12:00 pm-2:00 pm. Memorial service will be at 2:00 pm followed by burial at the Johnson-Hubbard Cemetery located on Spurlock Creek Road near Prestonsburg Kentucky.
Harmon’s family would like to thank the staff at Mercy Fairfield Hospital and Taylor’s Pointe for their loving and excellent care. We would also like to thank the many friends who supported Harmon in so many ways.
