In Memory Of
Dorothy Ann Saunders
1944 - 2020
Dorothy (Dott) was baptized at Delhi Baptist Church. Dott attended Saylor Park Elementary and later attended Western Hills High School. She was employed by: Seagrams, Chan Ling Distilleries and a teacher's aide at Taylor Elementary, just to name a few. She belonged to the Ladies Auxiliary of West College Hill and the President of VFW Post 7453 Ladies Auxiliary.
Dott's past time was playing cards, family gatherings, cooking, and talking with her sisters. She would feed you, take you in and love you as her own. As we all know, she was a free spirited, risk taking, outgoing ball of fun - THE LIFE OF THE PARTY. Dott would tell it like it T.I. is... If she loved you, you knew it, and if she didn't, you'd know that too, lol. Dott was the go to person, THEE FAVORITE AUNT!! The aunt with the signature dance.
It's no wonder she had heart problems for as much of it she gave away. We must have weighed her down.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Earl Foster, Jr; great-granddaughter, DaSha Foster. Dorothy is survived by her companion, David Palmer; beloved children, David Foster, Sr., Jeffrey (April) Saunders, Sr., Natocka Saunders, Natika Saunders; grandchildren, Yolonda Brown, Lakeisha Russell, DeAndre Lewis, Ebony Foster, David (Jasmine) Foster, Jr., Derrick Foster, Javonna (Robert) Phillips-Gillespie, Jeffrey Saunders, Jr., Jaleeshia Saunders, Asieanna Saunders, Aireanna Curtis, Ijon Volk, Tanyiah Rocker, Jared West, Joseph Garcia, Ranisha Jones; 29 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; siblings, Bessie (Edward) Saunders, James (Pat) Foster, Carol Foster; adopted daughters, Ele James and Mirna Colon; special friends, Ruth Dudley and Arlene Wilford; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other family members and friends.
Rest easy "Dott Dott"!
