Don is survived by his beloved wife of 52 years, Patricia Schirmer (nee Navarra); daughters, Jenny Schirmer, Sarah (Tyrone) Mangold; grandchildren, Josh Schirmer, Nathan Schirmer, Abby Schirmer, Gracie Schirmer, Riley (Alyssa Griffin) Schirmer, Morgan Mangold, Paige Mangold; great-grandson, Bentley Schirmer; siblings, Al Schirmer, Ann Troxell, Rita (Del) Osburn, Robert (Monica) Schirmer, Marie (John) Smith; sisters-in-law, Mary K. Navarra, Mary Ruth Schirmer, Marlene Schirmer; and a host of other family members and friends.

A private Mass of Christian Burial will be held at the Church of the Assumption, 7711 Joseph Street, Mt. Healthy, Ohio 45231. Burial to follow at St. Joseph Cemetery (New).
