Ronnie E. Clay, age 69, of Florence, KY, passed away on January 12, 2020. Ronnie was 1 of 13 children born in Delbarton, WV to the late Edward and Daisy Clay (nee Blankenship). He served in the United States Army for 20 years, serving as Military Police and earning the rank of Sergeant First Class. While stationed in Germany, Ronnie met his future bride while she was walking to work. They were married and had 46 wonderful years together. They raised 2 children and 4 grandchildren together. After retiring from the military, Ronnie began working at ThermoFisher Scientific where he worked for 10 years. He retired from Excel Logistics in 2007. Ronnie was also an active member of NKY First Church of God.

Ronnie leaves behind his loving wife, Rose Clay; and daughter Rebecca Kramer. Daughter Bettina Mullins preceded him in death. He is also survived by brothers; Joe (Kay) Clay of Minneapolis, MN; John David (Susie) Clay of Columbus, OH; Sidney (Judi) Clay of Wilmington, OH; Jesse (Sue) Clay of Wayne, WV; and sisters; Sallie Farris of Florence, KY; Freeda Clay of Fairhope, AL; and Camma (George) Stauffer of Fairhope, AL, along with Grandchildren; Sylvia Mullins, Cynthia Kramer, Donavan (Bethany) Mullins, Michelle Mullins and Jonathan Mullins.

He is preceded in death by his parents, along with brothers; Ed Clay Jr. and Dick Clay and sisters; Irene Young, Sena Edwards and Edna Berglund.

A visitation will be hosted by family on Saturday, January 18, 2020 from 12:00pm-2:00pm with services beginning at 2:00pm at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions 4350 Dixie Highway Erlanger, KY 41018.

In lieu of flowers, the family ask that donations be made in Ronnie’s name to the National Kidney Foundation 615 Elsinore Pl. #400 Cincinnati, OH 45202.
