In Memory Of
Steven C Payne
1957 - 2019
Steven was honest and loyal to friends and family as well as total strangers. He spoke to everyone whether he knew them or not. He wanted to please people and make them happy and would find a way to do both. His favorite saying was “I got you” and he meant it.
His greatest accomplishment was becoming a Mason, he was the only African American member of both the black and white lodges in Denver, Colorado. He was part of history for them and himself. His personality was big as he was when you got to know him you realized that he was a big teddy bear full of emotions, love and life and he will be missed.
He leaves behind his wife of 23 years Christina who he said was the love of his life, his children Adrienne, Ryan and his grandchildren Javoi, Maylene and J’ames, Tya, Aveys, Shay and Pryce as well as brothers Marcus and Andre and sister Angela, multiple cousins and aunts and uncles.
Funeral service will be at Newcomer Cremations, Funeral and Receptions located at 4350 Dixie Highway, Erlanger, Kentucky 41018
Visitation will be Saturday, October 12, 2019 from 10:00 am - 12:00 pm followed by service at 12:00 pm
