In Memory Of
Asher Benedict Puntillo

Puntillo, Asher Benedict age 3, of Lawrenceburg, Indiana passed away on Saturday, July 6, 2019. He was born in Cincinnati, Ohio on March 11, 2016 to Charles and Laura Puntillo (nee Auwbrey).

Asher went by many names. "Smasher,” for his wild spirit and fearless will. He was the lion among cubs. “The sour patch kid,” who rambunctiously marched to the beat of his own drum. Following every bout of mischief with the sweetest smile and “ I love you.” The muddy, barefoot, boy wearing nothing but Ninja Turtle underwear and his confidence as he runs around the yard. The handsome blue eyed boy who made sure to let every woman in his life know just how beautiful they really were. “Asher Benedict Puntillo” was the name he went by when his mischief got the best of him. And, of course, “Mama’s Boy." The proudest title he ever held. How deeply he loved his Mother. His favorite place to be was snuggled up in her arms, or latched onto her legs, everywhere she went. A man’s man, he followed his Daddy everywhere he went. He loved to wrestle and show his Daddy how strong he was. Proudly displaying his muscles. Asher was a helper. A child who loved to strap on a carpenters belt and drill some holes. Hard-headed and as stubborn as they come. He was always certain of what he wanted and how to get it. There wasn’t anything he couldn’t get with his baby blues, captivating smile, and beautifully dimpled cheek. The boy of a million expressions. From a mile long stare that could only be described as his, to a smile that had no choice but to be contagious. He was joy, laughter, trouble, and adventure all intertwined into the perfect gift. He was simply and undeniably… Asher.

Asher is survived by his beloved mother, Laura Puntillo and father, Charles Puntillo, Jr.; his sister, Grace Auwbrey; his brothers, C.J. and Cael Puntillo; his grandparents, Rick and Shirley Louallen and Charles Puntillo Sr. and Katheryn Lane; and loving great-grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial contributions be directed to, The Cincinnati Recreation Foundation "I Can Swim" program, in memory of Asher Puntillo, 805 Central Avenue, Suite 800, Cincinnati, Ohio 45202, to provide free early water safety education to children in the community.
