Betty J. Hearne, 73, of Erlanger, Kentucky passed away on Wednesday, December 19, 2018. She was born in Montgomery, Alabama on April 4, 1945 to the late Ernest and Mary Bester (nee Lyons),

In addition to her parents Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Hearne, and sister, Gloria Mae Jones.

Betty moved to Cincinnati, Ohio at the age of 5 and graduated from Central High School. After marrying her husband Richard, they had 1 daughter, Stephanie. Betty loved to sew, and was a truly gifted seamstress, making matching outfits for herself and her daughter. Later on in life, she began a career at Macy’s until her retirement.

Betty is survived by her daughter, Stephanie (Koye Sr.) Allen, 5 grandchildren, Shiar, Derrick, Assata, Koye Jr., and Nadiyah, 2 great-grandchildren, Dasante and Martise, 1 brother, Ernest Bester, and 3 sisters, Barbara Jean Jackson-Hardy, Lillie (Furches) Wingate, and Delorse Newman and a host of family members and friends.

Funeral services will be held at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, 4350 Dixie Highway, Erlanger, Kentucky 41018, on Thursday, December 27, 2018 at 2:00pm, with visitation for family and friends from 1-2 pm.
