Thomas "Tom" Blackburn
1932 - 2018

Blackburn, Thomas William age 86, of Sharonville, Ohio passed away on Thursday, October 11, 2018. He was born in Miamisburg, Ohio on March 19, 1932 to Leonard F. and Helen M. Blackburn (nee Rhoades).

He was preceded in death by his parents, Helen M. and Leonard F. Blackburn and siblings, Roger Blackburn and Claudette Viola Blackburn. Thomas is survived by his beloved wife of 32 years, Phyllis Blackburn (nee Adler); children, Keiko (Rick) Moore, Debra (Mark ) Spencer, Danielah Blackburn, Jacob (Arielle) Blackburn; grandchildren, Erik (Lisa) Moore, Kelly (Henry) Martin, Michael (Sarah) Spencer, Corey (Dionna) Spencer; great-grandchildren, Melissa Moore, Nathan Moore, Niccole Moore, Noah Martin, Elijah Martin, Abigail Martin, Conrad Spencer, Max Spencer; sister, Colleen (Jim) Moore; and a host of other family members and friends.

Tom served five years in the United States Air Force and achieved the rank of Staff Sergeant. After his honorable discharge from the military, Tom pursued and obtained an Associate's degree in transportation law. Tom used his education and experience to excel in his profession and became the assistant vice president of a large transportation company on the West Coast. To better serve others, and the L-rd, Tom left his career in the transportation industry to pursue ministry. Together with his wife, Phyllis, they pioneered three congregations in Los Angeles, Israel and Louisville.

In loving memory of Thomas, in lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to HaShomer (at HaShomer.net), Alzheimer's Association or the PKD Foundation. At the family's request there will be a private interment.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 3rd at 7:00 pm at Beth Messiah Synagogue 9054 Columbia Rd Loveland, OH 45140
