O'Neal, Evelena, known to her family as Tina, was born in Huntsville, Alabama on March 6, 1929 to the late William Halloway and Willie Lee Halloway (nee Jefferson). From an early age, Evelena was raised by her uncle and aunt, Frank and Gladys McCrary. She departed this life on July 1, 2018 in her sleep surrounded by a host of family members.

Evelena was a seamstress for H & S. Pogue Company and John Shillito & Company. Later in life, she was employed by the Cincinnati Board of Education, retiring after 20 years of service as a head cook. She was a member of the Elks Lodge #37 where she was a daughter ruler with the Fraternal Order of the Eastern Star.

Evelena was married to Willie Engram Sr. and from this marriage they had 7 children, Willie (Shelly) Engram, Diane (Quintin) Jones, Darryl Engram, Jeffery (Vickie) Engram, Charles (Valencia) Engram, Rodney (Beverly) Engram, Franklin (Jackie) Engram. Later, she married Earl Williams and from this marriage they had 3 children, Donna Williams, Brenda Williams and Arvella (Wendell) Solomon. Following the passing of her husband, Earl she met and married, Willie O'Neal, who had a son, Ronnie O'Neal; also survived by her 45 grandchildren; 100 great-grandchildren; 16 great-great-grandchildren; and a host of other family members and friends.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 12, 2018 from 10am until the time of service at 1pm at Newcomer Funeral Home - West Side Chapel, 3300 Parkcrest Lane, Cincinnati, Ohio 45211. Burial will take place on Friday, July 13, 2018 at 10am at Dayton National Cemetery.
