He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Jean C. Corbett; his parents; and brothers, Donald J. Corbett, Melvin H. Corbett, and Fred "Fritz" H. Corbett, Jr. Jim is survived by his loving children, Maria J. (the late Carlos) Burton, James J. Corbett, Linda M. Pfeffer; and a host of other family members and friends.
Jim proudly served in the Army Air Corps during World War II. He was very active in many organizations over the years including Cincinnati Warbirds, Sportsman 25, Fairfield Sportsman Club, Middletown Sportsman Club, American Trapshooting Association. He was extremely proud to have been inducted into the ATA Hall of Fame Senior Division. Some of Jim's interests included trapshooting, guns, family time, German Shepherds, swing dancing, and animals.
In loving memory of Jim, contributions may be made to Wounded Warrior Project National Processing Center Topeka, Kansas 66675. Funeral Ceremony will be 7:00 pm Monday, February 5, 2018 with a visitation from 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm at Newcomer Northwest Chapel, 7830 Hamilton Avenue, Cincinnati, Ohio 45231.
