In Memory Of
Mary Estella "Stella" Caffee
1930 - 2017

Mary Estella Caffee was born on July 9, 1930 to Van V. and Eubela Mooney in Cincinnati, Ohio. Mary was affectionately known as Stella by her close family and friends. On the early morning of January 28, 2017 the trumpets sounded for Stella, calling her home.

At an early age Stella was baptized, accepting Jesus Christ as her savior. She was educated by the Cincinnati Public School System. After that she spent many years as a Domestic Worker. In 1962, Stella married James "Jimmy" Caffee. Even though Stella did not have natural children of her own, she was a mother figure to many of her nieces and nephews. She helped raise her niece Verinique (Nikki) Richmond. Stella leaves us with many good times and stories to cherish.

Stella is preceded in death by her husband, James (Jimmy) Caffee; her parents, Van V. Mooney and Eubela Mooney; stepmother, Mary Jewel Mooney; sisters, EuVera Martin and Emma Davis; and brothers, Van V. Mooney Jr., Jerome Mooney, Vertis L. Mackey, Cooper O. Mooney, and Johnny Mooney.

She leaves to cherish her memory her honorary daughter, Verinique (Tyrone) Richmond; sisters, Johnnie (Robert) Martin, Janie M. (Robert) Smith, Theresa (James) Gill, and Cherelle (Michael) Bell; brothers, Richard (Sabra) Mooney, Ben (Rebecca) Mooney, Grady Mooney, Adam (Cheryl) Mooney, and Burneill Mooney; her sister-in-law, Martha (Van) Mooney of Kissimmee, Florida; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 11, 2017 from 11:30 am until the time of service at 12:30 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home - West Side Chapel, 3300 Parkcrest Lane, Cincinnati, Ohio 45211.
