He attended Cincinnati public school. On February 12, 1943 he was enlisted into the US Army and served until October 19, 1945. On August 27, 1947 he married Ernestine A. Tyndale and in this union they had three children: Charlotte Laverne Franklin, Wilma Jean Daniels and Ernest Wilbur Daniels, Jr. (Noralene Daniels, deceased)
Wilbur accepted Christ in his life at a very young age. He served and worked under many Pastors and later made Southern Baptist Church his final place of worship. He belonged to a Lodge of Mohammed Temple #3 in Cincinnati, Ohio. He was a foster parent of two boys and was a homecare provider for Human Services. He also worked at the Omni Netherland Plaza and was a security guard for Key Bank Post Office.
Wilbur was preceded in death by his parents, wife, daughter-in-law, grandchildren, aunts, and uncles. Wilbur is survived by his beloved children, Charlotte L. Franklin, Wilma J. Daniels and Ernest W. Daniels, Jr.; 15 grandchildren, 66 great-grandchildren; 56 great-great grandchildren; one great-great-great grandson; and a host of other family members and friends.
Services will be Saturday, October 1, 2016 at 11 AM at Newcomer Funeral Home Northwest Chapel, 7830 Hamilton Avenue, Cincinnati, Ohio 45231; with visitation from 10 AM till 11 AM.
