Nathaniel Simpson passed away peacefully at home on Monday, June 27, 2022. He was born in Bell County, Kentucky on June 30, 1934 the son of Ben and Sudie (Hoskins) Simpson. He was married to the love of his life Phyllis (Terrell) Simpson in 1956.

Nathaniel loved the Lord and pastored several churches in the tri-state area. He and Phyllis lived and faithfully served the Lord in South Africa for 13 years. He enjoyed hunting, golfing and was an avid fisherman.

He is survived by one son, Darrell (Shirley) Simpson of Burlington, KY; two daughters, Teresa (Steve) Howard of Union, KY and Sandi Simpson of Burlington, KY; grandchildren, Johnathan, Nathan, David, and John; great-grandchildren, Zachary, Nathaniel, Jayden, Luke and Ruby; and a number of nieces, nephews and other family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 57 years, Phyllis Ruth Simpson; his father, Ben Simpson; his mother, Sudie (Hoskins) Simpson; four brothers, Rowland Simpson, Eugene Simpson, Barnett Simpson and Cleston Simpson; two sisters, Ann Stark and Wanda Simpson; and a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 7th, 2022 from 4 – 8 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home, Northern Kentucky Chapel, 4350 Dixie Highway, Erlanger, KY 41018. Funeral Ceremony will follow on Friday, July 8th at 10 am at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Burlington Cemetery, 2512 Burlington Pike, Burlington, KY 41005.
