Berry, Michael Layne age 60, of Deerfield Township, Ohio passed away on Saturday, April 6, 2019. He was born in Jackson, Tennessee on November 21, 1958 to the late Charles N. and Betty Virginia Berry (nee Davis).

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Charles N. Berry II, Rebecca Brown-Berry, Timothy Davis and Catherine Davis. Michael is survived by his beloved wife of 40+ years, Marilyn J. Berry (nee Reed); daughter, Mia S. (Melvin L.) Ray; son, Marcus L. Berry; brother, Issac W. (Andrea) Berry; sister, Benita (Deandre) Berry-Watson; grandchildren, Kaleb C. Berry-Spears, Javell Ray, and Kamarion J. Ray; nieces, Chivon Berry, Patrice Davis, Pamela Davis, and Ashley Berry; nephew, Gregory Posey; and a host of other nieces and nephews, and other family members and friends.

His hobbies included Gospel Music and books that delved into history and The Bible. He had many interests including martial arts, youth (juvenile delinquent) counseling, swimming, grilling, football and just talking and getting to know people.


Visitation will be held on Sunday, April 14, 2019 from 10:00 am - 12:00 pm at Newcomer Cremations, Funeral & Receptions - Northwest Chapel, 7830 Hamilton Avenue, Cincinnati, Ohio 45231 followed by a Celebration of Life at 12:00 pm.
