Spath, Lena "The Dancing Queen" age 93, of Cincinnati, Ohio passed away on Monday, September 17, 2018. She was born in Mission Valley, Texas on August 18, 1925 to the late Lucio and Lena Garcia (nee Hauboldt).

She was preceded in death by her siblings, Anita, Rose, Mary, Sophie, and Tony; and her beloved husband, Gerald C. Spath. Lena is survived by her children, Robert (Debra) Spath, Patricia (Daniel) Meyer, and Theresa Spath; grandchildren, Matthew, Michael, and Megan; great-grandchild, Arkadia; brother, John DeLane; sisters-in-law, Catherine Cox and Jane Middleton. She will be missed by numerous nieces, nephews, former Girl Scouts and dance partners of all ages and genres.

Lena was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary for 20 years, lifetime membership to Girl Scouts, and Kolping Society for over 35 Years. She devoted herself to her faith as a member of the Catholic Daughters Society for over 70 years.

In loving memory of Lena, contributions may be made to Corpus Christi Food Pantry & Hospice of Cincinnati. Visitation will be Sunday, September 23, 2018 from 3:00 pm - 6:00 pm at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Northwest Chapel, 7830 Hamilton Avenue, Cincinnati, Ohio 45231. Mass will be 10:30 am Monday, September 24, 2018 at Corpus Christi Catholic Church, 2014 Springdale Road, Cincinnati, OH 45231.
