Cope, Gertrude age 86, of Bridgetown, Ohio passed away on Wednesday, September 12, 2018. She was born in Hamilton, Ohio on July 10, 1932 to Pearl and Bettie Barrett (nee Hollin).

She was preceded in death by her parents; her son, Brian Stanton; her sisters, Pauline Hudson, Norma Jean Brannock, Loretta McDaniel, Grace Overbey; her brothers, Chester Barrett, Ernest Barrett; her grandson, Brandon Stanton. Gertrude is survived by her children, Leona Stanton, Sheila (Dennis) Merk, Dirk (Cathy) Stanton, Lisa (William) Spaar; her grandchildren, Tabatha, Rian (Chasity), Jimi, Damien, Jesse (Brittany), Spencer (Kaytie), Austin (Stafford), Bre'anda (Zack), Forrest (Courtney), Barrett, and Holly (Ben); her great-grandchildren, Anastacia, Evelynn, Mirai, Everen, Lincoln, Larkin, Rowen, and Finnigan; and a host of other family members and friends.

Visitation will be held on Monday, September 17, 2018 from 10:00 am until the time of service at 1:00 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home - West Side Chapel, 3300 Parkcrest Lane, Cincinnati, Ohio 45211. Burial will follow at Baltimore Pike Cemetery.
