Cynthia was the eldest of two children. She attended Saint Joseph Elementary School. She was a graduate of Seton High School. Cynthia was an employee of the University of Cincinnati for 30 years until her retirement in 2009. She gave her life to Christ and was a member of Saint Joseph Catholic Church where she participated in the Choir and Lady Auxiliary until she stopped due to family responsibility. In life she showed an immense love for family for she rarely missed family gatherings.
Cynthia leaves behind to cherish her memory: one sister, Shelia Payton “Sheike”; three nephews, Darnel, Darral and DeMarco Payton; great nephew, Dylan Michael Payton and great niece, Nova Lynn Payton; her aunts, Lillian Watson, Willia (AD) Green Dieme, Barbara (Sanounou) Wright-Ide; honorary aunt, Ann Woolfolk; and a host of cousins, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter Lee and Intra Bell Mason; grandparents, Anna Mae Wright, George E. and Georgina Ann (Williams) Mason; her uncles, Julius Ingram and Freddie Wright; and her aunts, Clara Harris, Frances Collins and Ethel Garner.
Cynthia’s family gives acknowledgment to all remaining siblings of Walter Lee Mason family.

Mass will be at 11:00 am Saturday, May 5, 2018 with a visitation from 10:00 am - 11:00 am at Saint Joseph Church, 745 Ezzard Charles Drive, Cincinnati, Ohio 45203.
