He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Floyd Shirley and sister, Francis Coldwell. Roy is survived by his loving wife, Beatrice Shirley; children, Roy L. (Leslie) Shirley, Lisa A. (Shaun) Rought; grandchildren, Mykel Rought, Erin Rought, Joshua Shirley; siblings, J.C. Shirley, Vivian VanDyke; and a host of other family members and friends.
Roy served in the United States Army during the Korean war. His favorite hobbies were fishing, hunting and working on cars.
Funeral Ceremony will be 11:00 am Monday, November 13, 2017 with a visitation from 10:00 am - 11:00 am at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Northwest Chapel, 7830 Hamilton Avenue, Cincinnati, Ohio 45231.
