Purpose: This inspiring program will help members of the hospice caregiving community who want to continue to enhance their knowledge and skills related to caring for bereaved persons. Dr. Alan Wolfelt will explore a variety of important sub-topics surrounding grief care and emphasize the importance of “companioning” not “treating” the mourner. Dr. Wolfelt will also introduce his concept of “living in the shadow of the ghosts” that notes that if people do not authentically mourn life losses it becomes impossible to live well and love well. Come join us and learn from one of North America’s leading death educators and grief counselors.
