Robert D. Smith Jr. passed away November 16th, 2015 at the age of 44. He was born October 10, 1971 in Cincinnati, Ohio to Robert D. Smith Sr. and Janie M. Smith of Cincinnati, Ohio.

Robert was a graduate of Western Hills High School class of 1990, and played basketball, soccer, and baseball. After high school, he attended Cincinnati Technical College, and played basketball there. He then started coaching football and little league baseball. He coached little league Trojan football in 2010, Six Man Tigers baseball, and Summit Silver Knights. Robert also attended IBEW-NECA Electrical Training Center. He worked for the city of Cincinnati in the Recreations department; Proctor and Gamble; U.S. Bank; and was currently working as an electrical apprentice.

Robert was preceded in death by his grandparents, Fannie Mae Smith, Van V. Mooney, and Mary J. Mooney; uncles, Cooper O. Mooney, Johnny Mooney, Van Mooney Jr., and Vertis Macky; aunts, Emily Davis, Gloria Foster, and EuVera Martin. He leaves to mourn his parents, Robert Smith Sr. and Janie Smith; fiancée, Tonia Dudley; his children Robert D. Smith III, Rasean D. Smith, Mia T. Smith of Cincinnati, Xavier M. Hull of Port Arthur, Texas, and Dominic A. Smith of Cincinnati; stepchildren, Ashley, LaAsia, Troy, Charles, Jaia of Cincinnati; sister, Caroline Moore of Cincinnati;brother, Brandon E. Ruff of Cincinnati; cousin Robert V. Smith; and a host of beloved aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

A funeral ceremony will be held at the Newcomer Funeral Home, 3300 Parkcrest Lane, Cincinnati, Ohio 45211, on Tuesday November 24, 2015 at 6:00 pm. A visitation will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday from 5:00 pm until the time of service at 6:00 pm.
