He was preceded in death by his parents, George Hendricks and Gladys A. Gibson. Marvin is survived by his beloved daughters, daughters, Sherida Hughes and Christina M. (Angelique Alexander) Hughes-Alexander; grandchildren, Marvin Fred Carey, Jazmyne Carey, Jaleel Carey and Josiah Bracken; siblings, Marcia Brooks-McCollum and Curtis Gibson; significant others, Denise Cason and Nancy Parks-Hughes; nephews, James Brooks III, Terrence Brooks and Timothy Brooks; and a host of other family members and friends.
