James Earl Estes was born in Plantersville, Mississippi on April 3, 1926 to the union of Nelson and Mattie Estes (nee O’Neal).

James Earl married Dorothy E. Estes (nee Health). James served in the United States Navy as a Steward’s Mate Second Class. After leaving the military, James was employed by the United States Postal Service, where he retired in 1986. James became a dedicated member of Greater Liberty Baptist Church, where he served on the Usher Board and the Men’s Ministry. He was also involved in the Madisonville Community Counsel and he believed in keeping his community clean.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, sisters, two sons, and granddaughter. James is survived by his beloved wife of 58 years, Dorothy E. Estes, children, grandchildren, brother, sisters, and a host of other family members and friends.


Funeral Ceremony will be at 11:00 am Friday, September 11, 2015 with a visitation from 10:00 am - 11:00 am at Greater Liberty Baptist Church, 6209 Desmond Street, Cincinnati, Ohio 45227.
